So it is time for another review this week and after doing some research online, I stumbled upon Jeff Mastersons muscle building program called Weight Gain Blueprint.
This program has been around for several years and through my research, I found out that people are either bashing or praising it.
At that moment I knew that this program has to be reviewed to really weigh in the pros and cons and give you an unbiased opinion about the effectiveness of the program.
So on we go!

It’s quite the classical skinny guy story that many of the programs I’ve reviewed have. The author has been weak and skinny all his life and decides to take action and start to gain weight.
But Jeff wanted to gain the mass mostly in the form of muscle, so naturally he had to start lifting weights since it is simply the best way to build muscle.
And he did his research, applied it to himself as a guinea pig for different training methods and found out that the basics of weight training are the most effective for beginner to intermediate lifters.
After discovering what works Jeff decided to help other skinny guys to overcome their slim body frame by putting the Weight Gain Blueprint program together in 2010.
The internet and society is full of different Weight Loss products but Jeff knew that there is a big need for a program that does exact the opposite!
And the way Jeff’s program is designed, you can stay assured that your weight gain will actually be good for your overall health since you’re increasing your body weight in form of muscle and you’re fueling this process by real, healthy foods instead of fast food crap.

What Is The Weight Gain Blueprint?
The program has just one mission and it is to build muscle. This is not your typical “build muscle and lose fat at the same time” products that usually end up being quite scammy.
As the name suggests this is tailored for people that want to increase their body mass so there is no place for any fat loss regimens within the whole course.
The program itself is 26 weeks long which is really positive trait. Since building muscle takes time, the absurd promises of gaining massive amounts of muscle in 1-2 month time frame are just marketing gimmicks to get rid of your money.
Jeff’s program embraces the fact that you have to be in this for a long run to make it work. There are no shortcuts since building muscle really demands hard work and staying consistent through long period of time.
Using the compound exercises along with progressive overload, this program has the exact blueprint for your body to grow muscle. Every single successful muscle building program ever created relies on these factors training wise.
You get to know all the important facts of weight training such as training frequency, amount of repetitions and sets, lifting intensity & progression, how heavy weights to use, etc…
Along with the optimal training the diet portion of the program is sufficient to fuel your growing body. You will get to know how much calories to eat to your specific body structure and how much protein, fats and carbohydrates to consume within your calorie needs.
In the last pillar of the program you will get to know the necessities of proper recovery to ensure that you will not burn yourself out with the training. Instead you will be making constant progress towards your physique goals.
There is also information on injury prevention and mobility which will come in handy since in order to make progress you cannot be injured.
All in all everything in the course has a purpose and nothing is thrown in “just for the sake of it”. There is no heavy reading of exercise science. Only information on easy to digest form, no beating around the bush.

I find it quite interesting that many people online have bashed a lot of Jeff and his program. A lot of reviews of the program have stated that it’s really poor quality and Jeff is a scammer.
There are a lot of testimonials which seem really legit to me on Jeff’s site since the transformations are exactly what you can expect of this program. Take a look at this testimonial from a guy using Jeff’s program:

Like I mentioned before some people have been claiming Jeff a fraud and a scammer. As a fellow lifter I was curious and didn’t have any expectations about the program.
But after reading through all the materials I have to say that there is nothing scammy in his product or the marketing.
I’ve reviewed a lot of different muscle building programs and to be honest most of them are not as good as this program.
The information on lifting part of the program is solid, the information of the diet part is solid, the information on the recovery part is solid, the information on supplementation is solid…
If you know your in-and-outs of building muscle I really cannot uderstand how you would see the information in this program scammy or ineffective. If someone will say that this program is a scam, they clearly have no idea how to actually build muscle.
The person behind the program is real, you can contact him, he puts himself out there with his own name and product. How many scammers you see in online business writing with a real persona? Yeah that’s right, none!

Does The Program Work?
Jeff Mastersons program will absolutely work but only IF you’re willing to actually put in the work.
Like every other workout program, this is not something you can just skim through and feel good about yourself that now you know what to do in order to pack on some serious weight in form of muscle.
Gaining the knowledge how to do it is the first and easy step, the second and the most important factor is IMPLEMENTING your newly found knowledge and getting to work.
So if you’re ready to embrace the new lifestyle of lifting weights and eating right, this program will absolutely work for you.
But if you feel that you’re not ready to take this stuff seriously, please just forget the program alltogether and save your money!
Ideal Candidate For The Weight Gain Blueprint?
The program is geared towards beginner lifters that have skinny frame and are ready to take their muscle building journey seriously.
- If you’re overweight and want to burn fat and build muscle, this program is NOT FOR YOU.
- If you want a simple magic pill, powder or potion that’ll build muscle, this is NOT FOR YOU.
- If you’re not ready to put in the work and stay consistent, this is NOT FOR YOU.
Does Jeff Mastersons Program Demand Supplementation?
Not at all.
Although in the blueprint book there is own chapter for supplementation if you want to incorporate them. But the truth is that they are secondary and purely in there for convenience rather than necessity.
Basically the supplementation you might want to include while on this program consists more or less of whey protein and creatine.
And to be honest those two supplements are the only ones on the market that will actually help you when you’re trying to build muscle, although like I stated already, they are in no way mandatory.
What I Like In The Program
- Focusing on the heavy basics in training.
- Everything you need to know about training frequency, amount of repetitions, amount of sets, repetition speed, how heavy weight to use, etc…
- Calculcating calorie intake based on your individual needs.
- Good information on recovery.
- Not pushing you to rely on supplements.
- The Quick Start manual gets you on the right track as soon as you start the program, no confusion on where to start.
- Promoting hard work over long period of time instead of quick fixes.
- Everything is well structured and easy to implement and follow.
- General feel that this is not something put together over the course of couple weeks.
What I Don’t Like In The Weight Gain Blueprint
- Some outdated information on meal frequency that you have to eat 6 meals a day. This is not true. As long as you get your daily calories in, it doesn’t matter if you divide your meals into 3 or 6 per day.
- No information on myofascial release. As the program demands you to train hard, you might encounter a situation where you muscles get too tense and you need to relieve the tension by massaging with foam roller or lacrosse ball.
- No cardio at all. While this is not a necessity it would be a good idea to incorporate atleast some type of cardio a couple times a week. This might help you to reduce the unnecessary fat that you usually accumulate during muscle building.

Conclusion On Weight Gain Blueprint Review
When it all comes down to it, Weight Gain Blueprint is very effective and good program if your goal is to change your body composition from skinny to muscular.
The positives far outweigh the negatives and this program definately gets my seal of approval!
I really do not get why this program has gotten so much hate on the internet since the information regarding training, nutrition and recovery is solid.
As long as you’re willing to work for your results, this program will without a doubt pack on some serious size to your skinny frame and it doesn’t matter if you’re the classic “hardgainer“. That I can assure you.
But if you’re one of those guys who doesn’t like to walk the walk, don’t bother with this.
